What an incredible day our Discovery and Aboriginal cruises had today!
The numbers of whales travelling past Sydney right now are absolutely mind-boggling, and better than that, they are incredibly active and engaging. Whether it was the monster tail-throws we saw on our AM trip, or the high energy competition pods we watched this afternoon, our whales kept everybody riveted throughout our trips.

Whales everywhere again on our cruises today! The northern migration is well an truly in full swing now. 🐳
We didn't try to count them super accurately, but 50+ whales seems to be about the ball park for today's outings.
We settled for a competition pod of 7 whales that spent a lot of time on the surface and treated us to repeated tail slaps and swipes.
There were also some breaches in the distance of yet more whales alerting us to their presence.
